Puberty Blues
“Puberty Blues” tells the story of two teenage girls, Debbie and Sue, living in 1970s Australia who navigate the surfie scene, exploring themes of friendship, identity, and sexuality. The girls, as well as their male counterparts, engage in partying, substance use, and early sexual experiences, all while trying to fit in and find their place in a challenging world. The play offers a raw and honest portrayal of adolescence, showcasing the complexities and contradictions of growing up in that era.
