What is Chain Play?
Nine writers were sent a list of characters, a location, a prop and a five-minute challenge to complete over a week. Then it was up to script coordinators Brooke Shorten and Kani Lukuta to bring it all together into one slightly crazy and very funny script.

The Play
Amidst what is shaping up to be a fairly boring day, three friends stumble upon a strange Orb-like object. They touch the object and are suddenly whisked away to strange and confusing places. One moment, they have to avoid a pit of snakes in Ancient Egypt, the next they’re trying to answer riddles in an Underwater City. Will they learn to work together? Will M ever make their big announcement? Will J learn to live with the guilt of killing a man? Will they even get back home?
